NEWS

QUEEN’S PARK – Durham MPP John O’Toole today laid out a vision for Durham Region, and called on the government to fulfill its promises to the residents of Durham.

For eight years the people of Durham have been waiting for Premier McGuinty to fulfill his promises for much need infrastructure and investment in Durham.

The promised extension of Hwy 407 to Hwy 35/115 is years behind schedule. The promised refurbishment and new build at Darlington continues to be hampered by the McGuinty government’s inaction and the promised GO Transit rail extension into Bowmanville has received little attention from Premier McGuinty.

Durham Region requires this infrastructure to continue to grow and prosper. These infrastructure projects are key to increased economic growth, job creation, business and prosperity.
